President Buhari to unveil first oil mining project in northern Nigeria

President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to flag-off the Kolmani integrated development project in the boundary of Bauchi and Gombe states.

The president will be leading northern stakeholders from various sectors of life to perform the ceremony.

Report has it that the ground-breaking ceremony of the Kolmani oil prospecting lease 809 and 810 at the Kolmani field site will be the first oil drilling in northern Nigeria.

Since 2016, NNPC limited had launched a search in some northern states, which led to the discovery of the oil in commercial quantity in Bauchi, Gombe, Borno and Niger states.
