Governor Oyetola swears in 69 LGA, council chairmen

Osun state governor Gboyega Oyetola has sworn in all the sixty-nine newly elected Local Government and local Governments Development Authorities chairmen in state

It would be recalled that osun independent electoral commission on Saturday conducted local government election where all candidates of all progressive congress emerged unopposed.

Governor Oyetola while speaking at the swearing in ceremony held at the Government Secretariat Abeere Osogbo charged the chairmen to reciprocate the confidence reposed in them by the electorates.

Oyetola also charged them to hit the ground running by reflecting on progressive ideals premised on equity, fairness and selfless service

Governor Oyetola while speaking on the reason for the delay in the conduct of the election said it was as a result of plethora of socioeconomic and political uncertainties.

One of the newly sworn in chairman Musbau Olarenwaju promised to discharged their duties diligently and effectively and also to facilitate infrastructure development to their various local governments.

The event was well attended by top government functionaries,relevant stakeholders,political functionaries among others.
