Oyebanji sets to assume office as Ekiti governor

Ekiti State will today have a change of government as the Governor Elect Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji will be officially taking the mantle of leadership from Dr Kayode Fayemi.

Mr Oyebanji who was elected as the governor of the state at June the 18 Governorship election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress would be the fourth civilian governor of the state since creation on October first 1996.

Otunba Niyi Adebayo was the first civilian governor of the state between 1999-2003 followed by Mr Ayodele Fayose 2003-2006 and 2014-2018 with the Outgoing governor Dr Kayode Fayemi between 2010-2014 and 2018-2022.
