Tinubu Clinches APC Presidential Ticket

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has won the presidential ticket to fly the APC flag at the 2023 general elections.

Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state, chairman progressive governor forum and chairman election m committee gave the announcement at the Eagle Square in Abuja.

Bagudu said Tinubu who is the national leader of the party polled 1,271 votes to beat his closest rival, the minister of transport, Mr Rotimi Amaechi who polled 316 votes.

Vice president Yemi Osinbajo came third with 235 votes was followed closely by the senate president, Ahmed Lawan with 152 votes.

Other aspirants and their votes are Yahaya Bello scored 47, Ben Ayade scored 37, Dave Umahi scored 38 and Ahmed Sanni scored 4.

Christopher Onu, Jack Ric,Ikeobasi Mokelu and Tunde Bakare had no vote.

Report has it that there are 13 invalid votes

Some of the aspirants stepped down last night before voting commence.
