Gunmen kidnap couple in Osun

Unknown gunmen on Wednesday kidnapped a couple identified as London and Blessing Omoru in Omi Pupa village, Obokun local government area of Osun state.

Information has it that the couple were kidnapped by the gunmen numbering about six on their way to farm .

It was gathered that local security operatives tried to rescue the victims but their efforts proved abortive as the kidnappers were armed with sophisticated weapons.

The spokesperson of Osun police command, Yemisi Opalola, who confirmed the incident in a statement issued said operative of the Joint Task Force (JTF) are already combing the bush to rescue the victims.
