Desiree Ellis describes Aisha Buhari Soccer tournament as step towards improving women football

South Africa senior national women’s team head coach Desiree Ellis says the maiden Aisha Buhari soccer tournament if sustained will help develop women football in Africa.

Eliss in an interview with Adaba FM’s Michael Akintunde commended the Nigerian government especially the Nigeria football federation for organizing an event she described as a giant step in improving women football on the continent

She assured fans of Bayana Bayana of South Africa a good display of football artistry at the tournament

Ellis however declined to comment on big names missing out in her final 23 squad list for the tournament
