Tuchel helps Chelsea win Super Cup against Villarreal

Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea has won the UEFA European Super Cup after beating Villarreal in a sudden death penalty shoot-out, following the 1-1 draw in Belfast.

Hakim Ziyech scored the only goal for Chelsea after a smooth assist from Kai Haverts to put the blues in front.

However Moreno scored an historic equalizer to become the all-time top Villarreal scorer with 83 goals beating Giuseppe Rossi’s record.

The game extended to extra time with Chelsea’s goal keeper Kepa Arizabalaga making a decisive save from former Napoli defender Raul Albiol to secure the cup for Chelsea.

Chelsea under Tuchel have successfully won the champions league and the super cup in one season.
