Delta to host National Sports Festival in 2022

At a colourful closing ceremony, permanent secretary federal ministry sports and youth development Nebolisa Anakowho represented by the minister of sports Sunday Dare announced that the winner of the 20th edition of the event will host the biennial games in Asaba.

Anako revealed that six states showed interest in hosting the events but Delta was picked following evaluation made on bids.

States that showed interests include, Ogun, Kaduna, Kano, Delta, Imo and Ebonyi

Edo state governor and his deputy, wives of commissioners , lawmakers, sports administrators were among dignitaries that graced the event.
