Former minister describes sports writers as referees

Former minister youths and sports development, Solomon Dalung says sports writers are like referees who understands rules of sporting events.

Dalung who was speaking with selected journalists at the Sam ogbemudia stadium Benin said sports writers are major stakeholder needed to develop sports in Nigeria.

He however expressed disappointment that division in swan caused by things he couldn’t believe ought to cause division in a way affected the professional role the association would have played.

He advised relevant stakeholders to see their positions as a call to serve and not a position to witch-hunt
