Cyclone Gati hits northern Somalia

Tropical cyclone, Gati has hit coastal parts of northern Somalia, killing two fishermen and injuring four others.

Reports say the cyclone hit Hafun district in Karkar region where strong winds damaged some houses.

The cyclone also cut communications and electricity in parts of Karkar, as heavy rains continue.

There are fears that the port city of Bosaso could be the next for cyclone Gati, as the city is receiving heavy rains accompanied by powerful winds.
