Operation Amotekun set to launch in Ibadan

The inauguration of the much-talked about south west security outfit, operation Amotekun, is set to begin at the Oyo state governor’s office, state secretariat in Agodi, Ibadan.

The programme is to tackle the issue of insecurity in the south western part of the country.

Stakeholders from the six states in the south west have arrived at the venue for the inauguration, including the Ooni of Ife as well as governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state.

A security expert, Femi Aratokun has described the launch of Amotekun as highly beneficial to the south west

Aratokun asked south west governors to work hand in hand with various security agencies to make the south west safe.
