Soleimani Assassination: China urges restraints

China has called for all sides, especially the United States, to show restraint following general Soleimani’s death.

Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said China has always opposed the use of force in international relations.

He urged the relevant sides, especially the United States, to remain calm and exercise restraint to avoid further escalating tensions.

China is a permanent member of the UN Security Council and a major buyer of Iran’s oil.
