Bombs kill at least 12, wound dozens in Afghan capital

Three explosions have rocked Afghanistan’s capital Kabul, killing a total of at least 12 people and wounding dozens of others.

The first blast targeted a bus carrying government employees in eastern Kabul killed five people and injuring ten others.

A spokesman for the interior ministry, Nasrat Rahimi, explained that a magnetic bomb pasted to a minibus exploded before a suicide bomber blew himself near the bus attack site.

Rahimi said the third blast happened when a car was blown up by unknown militants.

The second suicide explosion killed at least seven people and wounded 20 others with no fatalities in the third blast.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for one of the bombings in Kabul, but denies involvement in the other two attacks.
