Authorities in Southern Tanzania have ordered workers and school children to remain at home as there country braces for Cyclone Kenneth.

Mtwara regional commissioner Gelasius Byakanwa issued the directive after the Tanzanian meteorological agency warned that winds of up to 200km/h and torrential rain could hit the Lindi, Mtwara and Ruvuma regions.
