Again, trial of NBA president stalled

The trial of the president Nigeria Bar Association Mr Paul Usoro failed to commence at the federal high court sitting in Lagos.

The trial could not commence due to the fact that the defence counsel Ifedayo Adedipe filled some applications which the court must first decide on.

Mr Adedipe wants the prosecution counsel to supply defence with summary of witnesses evidence in line with the provisions of the administration of criminal justice act.

In the prove of evidence, the EFCC has listed five senior advocate of Nigeria amongst others to testify in the matter.

But the prosecuting lawyer, Rotimi Oyedepo told the court that he has not seen the application which was serve on him last week Friday.

Oyedepo said every decision taken so far on the matter is in line with the law and that the trial must go on for fair justice to be served.
