Cuba denies military presence in Venezuela

Cuba has denied accusations by the United States that it has deployed military forces to neighbouring Venezuela.

Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodriguez hinted that all of the nearly 20,000 Cubans in Venezuela are civilians, mostly health professionals.

Several times, the US has threatened to take military action against Venezuela to topple the elected government of president Nicolas Maduro.

This was amid protests against him over political and economic crisis.
