US threatens more action against Turkey detained pastor
The US has threatened to impose more economic sanctions on Turkey if it does not free a detained American pastor.
pastor Andrew Brunson has been held in Turkey for almost two years over alleged links to outlawed political groups.
Crisis over his release has seen the two Nato allies impose tariffs on goods.
The crisis has prompted widespread Turkey’s currency,which has lost its valves against the dollar since January.
