over 300 Killed in Iran-Iraqi Earthquake

No fewer than 300 people have been killed and thousands injured in iran after a 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck near the border between iran and iraq.

The earthquake was centred about 19 miles outside the eastern iraqi city of halabja.

The tremor killed at least 328 people with nearly 4,000 injured in iran’s kermanshah province alone.

The governor of kermanshah province, one of the worst hit said there are still people under the rubble.

At least three emergency relief camps have been set up in the province.

About seven deaths were reported in neighbouring iraq with 321 people hurt.
