Appoint competent persons to manage North East Commission, Ahmad Lawan tells Buhari

Senate leader, Ahmad Lawan has advised the federal government to appoint trustworthy and competent persons to manage the affairs of the newly established North East Development Commission (NEDC).

While speaking with newsmen, Lawan said, the establishment deserves people who have the interest of the people of the sub-region at heart.

He said the commission would ensure proper accountability of resources channelled towards the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the North East.

Senate leader, Lawan appreciated President Buhari and other stakeholders for supporting the establishment of the commission.
