Flooding: Thousands left homeless in Niger

Thousands of people have been left homeless in Niger after months of severe flooding.

Residents in Niamey, the country’s capital have criticised the authorities for neglecting the flood victims with their faith.

They said the rebuilding efforts of authorities in flood-stricken areas have been slow.

At least 56 people have died in the flooding since the rainy season began in June.
