Wrestling Icon, Hulk Hogan, Dies at 71

Famed wrestling icon, Hulk Hogan, whose real name was Terry Gene Bollea, has died at age 71.

He passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025, after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater Beach, Florida.

Emergency responders were called to his residence at 9:51 a.m., and he was pronounced dead at Morton Plant Hospital later that morning.

Hogan helped revolutionize professional wrestling in the 1980s with his fiery persona and “Hulkamania” craze, becoming a multi‑time world champion and a global entertainment figure .

He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice, in 2005 and 2020, and later launched ventures such as the Real American Freestyle wrestling league in 2025 .

Beyond wrestling, Hogan appeared in films like Rocky III and reality shows including Hogan Knows Best, and was known for his controversial legal and political moments (including lawsuits and a public speech at the 2024 Republican National Convention) .
