FG Approves FMC Owo as Teaching Hospital for Achievers University

The Federal Government has named the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, as the official Teaching Hospital for Achievers University.

The announcement follows the signing of a three-party agreement between the Federal Ministry of Health, Achievers University, and FMC Owo.

The signing took place at the federal Ministry of health and social welfare headquarters in Abuja, with the Minister of State for Health, Dr. Iziaq Salako, representing the Federal Government.

This comes after a recent inspection of the university’s medical facilities by officials of the Ministry.

Pro-Chancellor of Achievers University, Professor Bode Ayorinde, described the development as a major milestone that opens a new chapter in the training of health professionals at the institution.

With this agreement, students in Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, and other health-related programmes at Achievers University will now undergo clinical training at FMC Owo.
