Suspected Herdsmen Kill Pregnant Woman In Ekiti

A fresh attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Orin farm settlement, Ido/Osi Local Government area of Ekiti state has left a pregnant woman dead.

An eyewitness who identified himself as Kayode Oni in a telephone interview with our correspondent confirmed that the gory incident happened in the mid night .

He further alleged that the invaders shot sporadically into the air and killed a Tiv woman , while others sustained various degrees of injuries and were said to be receiving treatment at the Federal Teaching hospital in Ido- Ekiti.

When contacted on phone, Commissioner of Police in the state, Abdullahi Chafe said he was on an official trip adding that he has not been briefed of the development as at the time of filling this report.

The Commissioner of Police further stressed that he will speak to the press whenever he receive brief from the DPO of the area.
