Osun Police Arrest Six Suspected Cultists in Osogbo

Police in Osun state says it has arrested six alleged cult members for terrorising Osogbo and its environs.

The police spokesperson in the, state Abiodun Ojelabi made this known in a statement made available to journalists in Osogbo the state capital.

Ojelabi said, following intelligence report, two out of the suspects were arrested, during the student union week in one of the higher institutions in the state.

He hinted that the duo respectively confessed to be member of Aiye and Buccaneer confraternity popularly known as Alora.

Ojelabi further disclosed that the four other suspects were arrested in Okuku town, where they confessed to being members of the Aiye confraternity.

The police spokesperson issued a stern warning to students to refrain from engaging in cultism, noting that the State Police Command, under the guidance of Commissioner of Police (CP) Gotan, will not tolerate such illegal activities
