Ondo Governor Approves N350m Scholarship, Bursary for 12,000 Students

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved N350 million for the 2025 scholarship and bursary for students of the state in higher institutions.

The payment will cover five categories including medical students, law students, and students with disabilities.

About 12,000 students will benefit from the scheme, which is higher than last year’s 11,200 students.

Last year, the Governor raised the annual bursary from N10,000 to N20,000, while students with disabilities received N75,000 each.

He said education remains the cornerstone of development and the key to unlocking the potential of young people.

The approval comes two weeks after OSOPADEC began payment of its 2023/2024 bursary and scholarship scheme for 4,837 indigent students.
