APC Adopts Bola Oyebamiji as Consensus Governorship Candidate for Osun 2026
The immediate past Executive Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority, Bola Oyebamiji has emerged as the consensus governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State for the 2026 election.
His emergence followed the voluntary withdrawal of the other aspirant, a former member of the Osun State House of Assembly representing Ifelodun Constituency, Mulikat Abiola.
Also One of the disqualified aspirants, Rasheed Adegoke moved the motion endorsing Oyebamiji’s candidacy which was seconded by Senator Babajide Omoworare.
The Governor of Edo State and Chairman of the Osun 2026 APC Primary Election Committee, Monday Okpebholo said the party’s decision to adopt a consensus arrangement was borne out of the desire to promote love and unity within the party.
Governor Okpebholo expressed optimism that with Bola Oyebamiji as candidate, the APC will reclaim the mantle of leadership from the incumbent governor Ademola Adeleke.
