Adaba FM Champions Girl-Child Empowerment in Ondo

‎As the world celebrates the resilience and leadership of girls globally, Adaba FM through it’s TVC Women Network held a special outreach to more than two hundred girls in commemoration of this year’s International Day of the Girl Child.

The programme which took place at Baptist Secondary School in Akure featured mentorship sessions, motivational talks, and interactive discussions addressing the challenges girls face in education, leadership, and personal growth.

The Guest Speaker, a girl-child activist, Mrs. Roda Oladejo, stressed the need for society to eradicate gender stereotypes

Mrs. Oladejo also called on the government to ensure the full implementation of the Gender-Based Bill.

Coordinator of the Adaba TVC Women Network in Ondo State, Mrs. Olajumoke Omotoso, said the initiative was part of President Tinubu renewed hope agenda to amplify girls’ voices and promote gender inclusion.

Some of the Baptist Secondary School students lauded Adaba TVC’s initiatives, described the session as inspiring and life-changing.

As the world marks the International Day of the Girl Child, Adaba TVC’s initiative stands as a reminder that empowering girls today means securing a stronger and more equitable tomorrow.
