Ajayi Bows Out Gracefully, Pledges Support for Ondo Development

Peoples Democratic Party Candidate in last year’s Ondo state governorship election, Agboola Ajayi, has withdrawn his petition challenging the victory of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

In a letter to the Supreme Court, Ajayi said the decision followed consultations with family, party leaders, and advisers.

Ajayi congratulated the governor and pledged his support for the development of Ondo State.

Governor Aiyedatiwa of the APC won the November 2024 poll with over 366,000 votes, defeating Ajayi who came second with about 118,000.
