Adaba FM Reaffirms Commitment to Excellence with Capacity-Building Training

Adaba 88.9FM has reaffirmed its commitment to professionalism and excellence with a one-day capacity-building training for members of its News and Program departments.

The training, which focused on news gathering and editing, took place at the station’s headquarters and brought together reporters, editors, and program producers.

The General Manager, Sir Martins Ayoola, while declaring the session open emphasized the importance of continuous learning in the media industry.

Ayoola noted that training is key to equipping journalists with the right skills to meet modern-day challenges.

The resource person, Mrs. Dunni Ade Alao, a veteran broadcaster and former Deputy Director at NTA Network Centre, Ilorin, delivered the main presentation.

She expressed concern over the declining standards in journalism and urged young professionals to remain grounded in ethics and truth.

The Lead for News, Mrs. Patience Olusegun, and Lead Programme, Michael Akintunde, described the training as timely and impactful.

They commended the management for creating space for learning and development.

Participants at the training also shared their views, highlighting the practical knowledge gained and expressing optimism about its application in their daily tasks.

The management of Adaba FM assured that more of such training programs will be organized in the near future to ensure that the station continues to meet professional standards and deliver quality content to its audience.
