Oyebanji wins Ekiti APC governorship primary election
The Chairman of the Governorship Primary of the Ekiti State All Progressives Congress APC, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar has declared the former Secretary to the Ekiti state Government, Biodun Oyebanji winner of the primary election held in the state.
The Jigawa State Governor noted that Oyebanji polled 101,793 to defeat his closest rival, Kayode Ojo who Scored 767 votes, while Michael Opeyemi Bamidele scored a total number of 760 votes to came third.
A former Minister of works (state) Prince Dayo Adeyeye scored 639 votes to came fourth, while a current member of the House of Representatives, Femi Bamisile scored 400 votes.
Others including, Bamidele Faparusi scored 376 votes, while Otunba Demola Popoola scored 239 votes.
A United States based entrepreneur, Olusola Afolabi gathered a total number of 47 votes.
The Jigawa State Governor lauded all the aspirants for the demonstration of sportsmanship and maturity they display while the exercise lasted.
In his acceptance speech, Biodun Oyebanji lauded the conduct of the exercise while calling on his co-contenstants to join hands with him to ensure the party wins the June 18 Governorship poll in the state.
