Again, Nigeria’s Daily COVID-19 Infections Exceed 1000

Nigeria has reported fresh COVID-19 infections exceeding the 1,000 mark for the second consecutive day.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) giving an update on the outbreak of the disease in the country, said 1,051 new confirmed cases were logged.

Report has it that the number of cases reported on Thursday lower than the 1,424 infections reported on the previous day. 

But, no new death was recorded on Thursday, the 1,051 fresh cases were reported in 10 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Meanwhile, NCDC have revealed that 434 cases of Lassa Fever have been recorded in Nigeria in 2021.

The agency revealed that at least 80 persons were confirmed to have died of the disease this year.
