Zuma faces financial problem to fund corruption trial
Former South Africa’s president, Jacob Zuma says, he has no money to finance his corruption trial.
His lawyer, Muzi Sikhakhane gave the indication as he addressed the press.
The hearing of an application for a permanent stay of prosecution by Zuma and his co-accused Thales will continue today.
The matter was adjourned on Thursday just as Sikhakhane was about to submit new evidence about alleged political meddling in the case.
Zuma and Thales face 16 counts of corruption, fraud and racketeering.
