The Oṣun State government had last week released a white paper directing a fresh selection process of the Aare of Iree and advise the King makers to withdraw their case in court to pave way for a new process.
The royal families admonished governor Adeleke not to disrespect the law or instigate violence through the white paper order
The royal members who are from five out of the six ruling houses in the ancient community while addressing journalist through secretary of ruling houses of the town, Gbenga Olatunji called on foremost traditional rulers in Yoruba land to prevail on governor Ademola Adelele to rescind his decision.
Olatunji said due process was followed in the selection of the sacked monarch.
He also said spiritual consultation and appeasement made to all relevant ancestral deities of the land during the traditional process for the selection of the embattled monarch and cannot be conducted for the second time as it portends danger.
