Venezuela crisis: Opposition leader Guaido vows crippling strikes
Venezuelan opposition leader, Juan Guaido, has called for a series of strike to force president Nicolas Maduro to relinquish power.
The opposition leader’s call for action comes after a woman was killed during Wednesday’s clashes between opposition supporters and government forces.
Mr. Guaido urged public employees to embark on a general strike today.
Tensions over the crisis are rising between the US and Russia.
Meanwhile, president Nicholas Maduro has dismissed claims that he is ready to flee and accused the US of directing a coup.
