US warns citizens of possible attack in Kenya
The United States has warned its citizens in Kenya against targeted attacks by extremist.
US travel advisory asked Britons to avoid areas near the Somalia-Kenya border and parts of the coast region.
The warning follows a deadly Al-Shabab attack on an up market hotel in the capital Nairobi last week.
Reports say 16 Kenyans and a British citizen were killed in the siege that lasted more than 19 hours.
Armed group Al-Shabab regularly targets places frequented by foreigners and government officials in both Somalia and Neighbouring Kenya.
