US, UK to hold first talks about Brexit trade deal

The United Kingdom is to hold its first talks with the United States to try to sketch out the details of a potential post – Brexit trade deal.

International trade secretary Liam fox is expected to spend two days in Washington DC with United States counterpart, Robert Lighthizer.

The United Kingdom department for international trade says discussions between the two are expected to focus on providing certainty, continuity and increasing confidence for United Kingdom and United States businesses.
