UPDATED: Ondo APC Primary Election Kicks-Off as more aspirants step down for Akeredolu

The Ondo state chapter of the All Progressives Congress is holding its governorship primary election today.

As at this morning there were eleven aspirants including the incumbent governor Rotimi Akeredolu contesting for the party’s ticket.

Over 2500 delegates are expected to vote in the election.

Meanwhile, one of the governorship aspirants under the APC, Olusegun Abraham has stepped down for Governor Rotimi Akeredolu in the ongoing primaries.

Abraham confirmed this when he spoke with Adaba FM news via telephone.

He said his decision was based on the general interest of the party.

Olusegun Abraham is the second governorship aspirant to have stepped down after Ifeoluwa Oyedele followed by Jimi Odimayo and Dr. Nath Adojutelegan
