UK approves widespread use of COVID-19 vaccine
The UK has become the first country in the world to approve the widespread use the coronavirus vaccine developed by Pfizer and Biontech.
The UK has ordered enough doses to vaccinate 20million people in the coming months.
British regulator, the Mhra, says the vaccine offers up to 95% protection against COVID-19 illness and is safe for rollout next week.
Immunisations could start within days for those who need it the most, such as elderly people in care homes.
Pfizer said it was a win for science.
