Two kidnapped locals freed in DRC, two foreigners sill in captive
Gunmen who kidnapped four workers from Canadian mining firm Banro in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo at the end of July have released two of the local employees.
But a South African and Zimbabwean worker remain in captivity.
Captain Dieudonne Kasereka, an army spokesman in the Maniema province, did not give details of their release.
Eastern DR Congo is rich in resources and minerals which many armed groups have looted over the years to finance their operations.
