Trump vows emergency declaration over wall

US President Donald Trump has vowed to declare a national emergency in an attempt to fund the border wall without congressional approval.

The bill passed by both the US senate and house of representatives contains money for fencing and other forms of border security excluding the wall.

Information has it that the bill was expected to go to the white house today for the president’s signature.

The democrat senators have said that an emergency declaration could infringe on congress authority to make major decisions about tax payer funds as spelt out in the constitution.
