Troops arrest LGA vice-chairman for aiding bandits in Zamfara
The Nigerian army says it has arrested the vice chairman of Anka local government area in Zamfara state Yahuza Ibrahim, based on intelligence linking him to bandits in Wuya and Sunke communities.
Acting force information officers of operation Sharan Daji, Clement Abiade said Mr Ibrahim was reportedly seamlessly selling rustled cows and donkeys.
He was also accused of giving information about troops, other security agencies and vigilante movements to the bandits and aiding the release of a notorious gun runner from Gusau prison.
