Thai court accepts dissolution of political party
A Thai court has agreed to take up the case of whether to dissolve a political party that nominated a member of the royal family as a prime minister in next month’s elections.
Thailand’s constitution court made the announcement after the election commission recommended the Thai Raska chart party be dissolved over the nomination of Princess Ubolratana Mahidot.
The count said the charged are being forwarded to the party which is expected to respond in seven days.
It said the next warning is slated for February 27.
Report says, if the party is dissolved its board members could be banned from politics.
