Taliban claims bomb attack on police in Afghanistan; nearly 100 wounded

An explosion outside a police station in Kabul has left at least 95 people wounded in Afghanistan.

Interior ministry spokesperson Nasrat Rahimi said the bomb went off when a vehicle was stopped at a checkpoint outside the station in western Kabul.

Health ministry spokesperson, Wahidullah Mayar said at least 95 people, mostly civilians and including women and children, were taken to hospital.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.
