Supreme Court to rule January 20th on Kano Guber dispute
The Supreme Court on Tuesday fixed January 20th for judgment on the Kano state governorship dispute following the March 9, 2019 election.
A seven-man panel of the apex court led by the chief justice of Nigeria, justice Tanko Muhammad, fixed the date for judgment.
PDP’s candidate, Kabir Abba-Yusuf, is challenging the victory of the APC’s candidate, Abdullahi Ganduje at the poll.
Both the Kano state governorship election petition tribunal and the court of appeal had dismissed the PDP’s case and ruled in favour of the APC and the Kano state governor.
