Suicide bomber attacks military convoy
Afghanistan government says a suicide bomber has attacked a military convoy in the Afghan capital, Kabul, killing a Georgian soldier and wounding several others.
A Nato statement says five soldiers and an interpreter were injured.
The statement explains that the incident happened when a joint patrol with the Afghan army was attacked by a personnel-borne improvised explosive device.
It adds that all of those injured were in a stable condition and were being treated at the United States military hospital at Bagram Airfield.
However, the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the deadly blast which happened yesterday.
