Soldiers kill ten people as protests continue in Sudan
Crowds of angry Sudanese citizens have continued to protest after the country’s armed forces launched a military coup.
At least 10 people were reported killed and dozens injured, many of them as a result of soldiers opening fire on protesters.
The US secretary of state Antony Blinken has however, called for the immediate release of the country’s prime minister and other civilian leaders without preconditions.
The UN Security Council is due to hold an emergency session today to discuss the crisis.
