Senate, Reps pass 2020 FCT budget
The Senate and House of Representatives have passed the 2020 budget of 278.3 billion for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The budget was passed with an increase of about 45.5 billion naira.
President Muhammadu Buhari had sent a budget of 232.8 billion naira to both chambers of the national assembly for passage ahead of the 2020 fiscal year.

A budget estimate of 238.149 naira was also passed for the Nigeria Customs Service for the 2020 fiscal year.
Both chambers adjourned plenary till January the 28th, 2020 to enable senators observe the Christmas and New Year break.
