SDP raises alarm over alleged APC intimidation of members in Ekiti election

The candidate of the Social Democratic Party SDP at the Ido Osi constituency One House of Assembly election Muyiwa Fadahunsi as alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress APC intimidated the opposition members with different security agents during the Saturday’s Supplementary election in three units of the Constitutiency.

Fadahunsi speaking with Adaba FM in Orin Ekiti said that there were series of arrest against the opposition members while some were subjected to serious beating so as to disenfranchise them.

Meanwhile the candidate of the All Progressives Congress at the poll Babatunde Fawekun has denied the allegation of the SDP candidate of intimidation and harassment of opposition members during the supplementary election.

Also the Commissioner of Police Dare Ogundare said that Police and other security agents who monitored the Supplementary election provided a level playing ground for all parties during poll.

He however said that investigation has started into the case of some political thugs arrested at Ward 1 unit 14.

Voting process has ended in all the three units, as voters are now waiting for the commencement of sorting and counting of the ballot papers.
