S/West Alfas, Imam want Muslim faithful to abide by teachings of Sallah celebration
The President, leagues of Alfas and Imam in South West, Edo and Delta States, Sheik Jamiu Kewulere wants Muslim faithfuls to abide by the teachings of the Sallah celebration.
The cleric who made the admonition during his sermon at the Central Eid prayer Ground in Ado Ekiti, also charged Muslims to embrace love, sacrificial life, humility and honesty as exemplified by Almighty Allah.
Kewulere and the Chief Imam, Mutiu Ayinla of Ahmadiya in a separate interview maintained that if such virtues were seen as ways of life most especially by those in positions of authority, Nigeria would be a better place to live for all.
The duo therefore expressed dissatisfaction with the spate of terrorism, kidnapping, robbery, rape and other activities capable of disrupting the peace of the society.
They urged parents to love their children, provide for their needs, encouraged them towards good behaviours and give them sound education to become good citizens of the country.
Other faithfuls who spoke with newsmen appealed to Nigerians to continue to live a sacrificial life as exemplified by prophet Ibrahim.
