Relief in Isua Akoko as Police Rescue Kidnapping Victim

There was relief in Isua Akoko on Wednesday as the Ondo State Police Command rescued a man abducted by suspected kidnappers on the same day.

A statement by the Police spokesman, Jimoh Abayomi, says the victim, Jimoh Isah, was kidnapped while riding a motorcycle with his wife and child along Ifira-Isua Akoko axis around 4pm on Wednesday.

His wife, child, and another man were abandoned by the attackers, carting him alone away.

Abayomi added that police operatives, working with local security groups, immediately launched a search operation, forcing the kidnappers to abandon the victim, who was rescued unharmed and reunited with his family.

Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal, commended the operatives and assured residents that efforts are ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspects.

He urged the public to continue providing useful information to security agencies.
